Your in the famous West Coast which is known for it’s abundant Whitebait, Salmon and Brown Trout.

The Mighty Taramakau River, Lake Poerua or the locals best kept secret Lake Brunner for any or all of your fishing adventures.

Glow worms

When you first arrive at Jackson’s you will notice our Glow Worm signs around the park, these could be as close as a 5 minute walk from your camp site to a half hour night time bush walk.

At the Waterfall track turn-off we have a sign to let you know where these Dells sites are.

Ask at the office for complementary Red Cellophane to cover your torch not only for your night vision but also so you don’t scare the Kiwi’s away as your walking through their habitat!

All this is Free and included in your camping tariff!

Ngarimu Walking Track

Walk through the bush Tent Sites to the Rain Forest bush line and you’ll find…..

Track : Quartz Mine Site – 3 hours return trip, Take a beautiful Rain Forest bush walk to the historic Quartz Mine where quartz was crushed for its gold content. Meander your way through pristine NZ Native bush to view the abandoned workings

Track : Glow Worm Waterfall – 40 mins return trip, again a spectacular NZ Native bush walk the most photogenic waterfall, check out our Facebook page.
